Suarbol

Suarbol

Located 3 km of Piornedo, is the first in the province of Leon. It has a Romanesque church with arches, quite commendable, and is one of the most interesting architectural ensembles of the saw.

They say it is so called because when the people were in the holy Cespedosa gave the church to escape and come to rest arbore had one here, then called Entrambasaguas (because they cross two creeks place) returned to lead the church and, one after another, he escaped again …Finally decided to change the town site and called him Suarbol.

In the ’50s Suarbol almost completely burned, so no pallozas, was rebuilt with tile houses.
By the way that we walk around the corners of the small village we find the house of chains, which have ancient carvings on the facade and interesting, relating to fertility.
